IndyGeek Hosts DJ Hero House Party in Fishers
Indianapolis, IN – Fun-seekers get to take first spin at DJ Hero for free on Saturday, July 31, starting at 6:00 p.m. in the VIP Suite at Pinheads Entertainment Center in Fishers, Ind. IndyGeek.net, the premier source for news and reviews on all things geek in central Indiana, will host the party in celebration of the Web site’s recent re-launch.
The IndyGeek event is free and open to the public. Refreshment prices and shoe rental are set by Pinheads. Private lanes in the VIP suite are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“With the suite treatment and a spotlight on the DJ Hero booth, we’re happy to be able to treat our readers and future readers like the VIP’s we believe they are,” said John Fox, Editor-in-Chief of IndyGeek.
Enjoy dance, hip-hop and old school mixes while you bowl on private lanes. Featured tracks are by Daft Punk, The Beastie Boys, Eminem, Gorillaz and more! Music mixologists, avid gamers, and curious first-timers can all spin some mixes for the crowd at the exclusive DJ Hero booth. The game features a similar music-simulation experience to that made popular by the Guitar Hero series, with players imitating the motions of a DJ spinning, scratching, sampling, and cross-fading to the cheers of a virtual crowd.
“For this night, the crowd is a real one. So come show off your skills!” Fox said.
Come for the tunes, bowling, and Pinheads’ renowned food and drinks, and get in on a chance to win great prizes. Drawings for prizes will take place every half hour. One lucky grand-prize winner gets to take the game home for free, along with a new DJ Hero turntable controller for XBOX 360.
“This event is generously sponsored by Ricky Potts of rickyleepotts.com, Pinheads Entertainment Center, HouseParty.com and Activision. We’re grateful to our sponsors,” Fox said.
Pinheads is located at 13825 Britton Park Road in Fishers.
